Pet Photography
There is something very special about that moment when I sit down with a pet's owners at our "image review", turn on the laptop, and watch their faces light up as my image of their pet appears on the screen. By working in the comfortable home environment, by interacting and relating to your pet, and by using my years of experience as a veterinarian, I am able, with my camera,to bring out the true personality of your companion.

Let me tell you how your session will work. We work indoors, outdoors or both, wherever your pet feels most relaxed and comfortable. "Shoots" can be of just your pet(s), or can be pets and their people. From the moment that I arrive, my camera is ready and working, as often the best images are those that just happen. The wonder of digital photography allows me to "shoot" whatever number of images it takes, until I feel confident that I've got what I want. The average time for a typical "shoot" is one hour, but I'll take whatever time we need to achieve our goal.

The next step takes place between me and my computer. In my studio, I review the images (the average number is 100-200), cull the rejects and prepare a presentation for your review. The final picture count averages 15-30 images.

Image review can either be done via contact sheet, presentation in your home or my studio via computer. We will compare, enlarge and switch from color to black and white or sepia to evaluate which style and image works best for you and your pet(s). We will decide together the size you prefer, as well as the style and the number of images you desire.

The last step in the process is the production of the final images. For me,this is a true labor of love as I am able to use my creative skills in the digital darkroom, perfecting and enhancing the images you have chosen, to create the essence of what makes your pet so special.

From start to finish the process takes two to four weeks (I accomodate rush-jobs whenever I'm able). Fees are based on the number of pets and the number and sizes of the images desired. Cost Effective Option packages are available.
