Work In Progress My ongoing work in progress is the creation of "A Non Clinical Study- Dogs and Cats Through A Veterinarian's Lens". This photography book will offer a unique look at pets, with and without their owners, shot both locally and throughout the world.

Equine Photography My new passion is Equine photography, specifically "shooting" Hunter Paces.
A Hunter Pace is a group event, sponsored by a horse club or riding organization, where teams of two to four riders traverse a carefully laid out course over and through woods and fields. The route often includes a variety of jumps to leap or streams to cross and distances vary from four to eight miles. A winning time is established via the average time of all the teams who compete, or by the time of a seasoned rider, who travels the course prior to the start of the pace.
Competetion is low key, to say the least, and the object is to have a great ride through beautiful countryside at whatever pace the team chooses. The event is topped off by a fine lunch and cheerful camraderie as particpants rehash the days event. As the pace photographer, I station myself and two assistants at a jump, photographing horses and riders at the apex of their jump. I strive to capture images of each horse and rider in action, as well as, in individual portraits and team photos.
For me, the challenge is to capture the perfect moment, frozen in time when horse and rider are as one, with intensity chiseled on their faces, and muscles taut with effort as they rise over the jump. This horse and rider team present a powerful and beautiful image as caught by the camera's lens.
